ON THE EASEL

Have just completed another mixed media small work for an upcoming show.

A Balancing Act
It is a 30 x 30 cm canvas using acrylics, collaged paper, and graphite.

For once I'm relatively happy with the finished work.

    Warm colors, circles, bold blacks -- what's not to love? Beautiful exuberance.

    This is fab - I love the strength of the composition; the warm, happy colors; I love the raised shapes (gesso or modeling paste?); I love the repetition of shapes and yet the contrast of shapes - there are just enough squares to set off all the organic shapes. Beautifully done!
