You Win Some...

Last Night was the opening for the 'Lions For Leukaemia' art exhibition at Nambour. It's a good cause and was well attended. While I occasionally win a prize in these things I did very well this time.  Two 2nds, one 3rd, and two Highly Commendeds.  That's all well and good, but only 1st Prize wins any $$$s.  So close.... yet so far. As First Prize in any section can be from $1,000 to $150 it's worth being on top of your game. My only consolation is that the standard was VERY high this year, so my work is obviously 'up there' in the vicinity. Better luck next time.

Most of my recent work has been posted on this blog before but perhaps you haven't seen this...

SUMMER

This one received Highly Commended in the Mixed Media section.  The other prizes were... 2nd and 3rd in Abstract, Highly Commended in the Open Section,  2nd in Miniature.

  2. Thanks Jane... The 2nd Prize abstract is the painting 'Cleft' on my 'Minimalist Abstract' post in April. Will have to hunt out photos of the others.
