I usually enter work in the Noosa Country Show each year.  Although it's a quiet little show I have sold work there in the past which is incentive enough to enter.

Of course it is not a 'professional' hanging space, but the local squash court. However, the volunteers do very well arranging the work,  considering the facilities.

This year the theme is 'Forests', so each section has to be work in this theme. Although somewhat restrictive I'm hoping to have 2 x acrylics, 2 x mixed media, and perhaps one or two drawings done.

The show opening date is not until September but, since I'll be away for two weeks in August, am already working on it.  Some of my paintings are reworked previous pieces, but some entirely new.

This one is a new mixed media work, using ink, charcoal, and pastel.

In The Forest

It's about 12 x 16 inches (why do I constantly go from cms. to inches?)... matted and framed under glass.
