Summer Of Colours - RED

Who doesn't love red?  Bet everyone at Twinkle, Twinkle does amazing work this week.

Firstly, my Adobe image... I asked myself what comes to mind associated with red?   Of course...
The (Very) Red Sea
My painting is a little 'whimsical' too. It came about by painting over another abstract work with lots of red... interesting what appeared.

Come Away With Me
I am still making my own jewellery and wanted something to really make a statement.  This is rather bold if I say so myself.

Coral, Onyx, and Howlite Necklace
Looks great on black, or white.

The trusty camera has been searching for red too, and I found a beaut sign on an awning while visiting Brisbane.



How red can you get?  It's been fun.

    For me red is an interesting color....sometimes I love it, and sometimes not...your piece "Come Away With Me" is wonderful!

    Jo, I love red, feeling down pop on some red lipstick to brighten your day. Wear a red dress and feel sexy. Red is glamour, fearless, brave, fire, passionate, I could go on, red, red, red I love it!

    Ella... The necklace is a liitle 'over the top' but looks great on.
    Kristin... Thank YOU for the challenges... am having lots of fun, and am finding it quite stimulating. Makes me do more work, and 'mileage' is good for improvement.

    Love your abstract digi picture and the idea of painting randomly over an old painting to see what develops is genius! I've been cutting them up and using them in collages but I might have to try this technique instead.
