Yay! It's back to the studio time!

Well, all the distracting frivolity is over and now I can retreat to my favourite place...my studio.

First cab off the rank is some painting, slightly more 'commercial' than abstract.  I've revamped two previous works, and completed a new one,  for Studio 4 Gallery's January group show.

STILL LIFE - acrylics on stretched canvas, 8" x 10"

LEAN ON ME (or WHEN PEARS ARE BLUE) - acrylics on stretched canvas, 12" x 12"

SUMMER - acrylics and collage on stretched canvas, 16" x 20"

Now...it's time for collaging!!!!   I can hardly wait.

  3. Yay! Welcome back. And what a great start...is that cheesecloth collaged into the last painting? What great texture it adds... Now, collage - I'm eager to see what you make for your exchange.

  4. Nice pieces Jo. Your still life has an abstract quality to it I adore and the summer piece has so much texture, like sand on your feet that comes home with you! xox

  6. Love your painting style....wow!
I am trying to get back into the studio routine. Love the holidays but find that for a week or two, I dither; just can't quite get the body to play nice and get busy. I just start with very tiny things and collage ti quite the brain.
I think your blue pears are an absolute hit!

    XXOO~~
