|A champagne to christen the pool.|
|Himself enjoying playing with 'Ellie'|
Tho' I hate to admit it, I will be turning 70 next month. As a real 'water baby' I have lusted after a pool for my entire life. At last himself has succumbed and this is the result...birthday pressie 2014. Guess he's in my good books this year.
Richard looks as if he's enjoying it too...but of course he would. He's christened the water feature 'Ellie McPherson', and now can boast that Miss McPherson is a permanent part of his life. Dream on boyo!
Looks like my concentration will suffer somewhat...as far as artistic pursuits go. But who knows?...maybe I'll be so fit I'll be able to do lots more! We live in hope.
I think your b-day present will be an inspiration. You will feel so soothed that your mind and hand will be as one and you will be alive creating. How's that for profoundity (is that a word ). No really, how wonderful. Hugs. BethReplyDelete
oh, how lovely! congratulations.ReplyDelete
Looks positively yummy. I would be joining you for sure. I sense some water collages coming. xoxReplyDelete
Now that's a wonderful distraction and one I'd love to have as well :-) so enjoy it fully!ReplyDelete
what a very special gift-and you certainly deserve it given your love of water! That would certainly keep me from so much art and blogging that's for sure. Do pop in once in awhile though :)ReplyDelete
Very nice! Congratulations, you have a good excuse for being distracted! I wouldn't feel too guilty if I were you...ReplyDelete
What fun! Enjoy your new water feature!ReplyDelete
Oh what a wonderful wonderful distraction!!! Such a luxury! Enjoy! XoReplyDelete
just giggling on about Ellie and so happy for you that you are in the water... hoping that next year, I will be too!ReplyDelete
Lucky you! A little fitness, a little relaxation are good for the soul and it's such a fitting gift! How lucky you are to have something you've always lusted after - many people don't reach that goal.....does that put himself one up on the 'best hubby' scale? Looking forward to seeing your new, 'relaxed' art! :)ReplyDelete
Both of you look so happy! Congratulations on making such a wise decision and for sharing a photo of yourself in a swimsuit! Enjoy.ReplyDelete
Oooh lovely, just right for your climate too.ReplyDelete
No wonder you are looking so happy! I think a swim first thing in the morning will energize you and you will be so inspired, you will be creating art all day long.ReplyDelete
Wow, what an awesome birthday gift. And if I look even half that good at 70, I'll be happy. Beauty abounds everywhere in your world.ReplyDelete
Your photos are fabulous and such fun fun fun Jo!ReplyDelete
What a perfectly lovely distraction and gift for special you ~♥~
