Yesterday was one of those days when a long anticipated package arrives. Oh the joy of receiving my giveaway from Patty S at Magpie's Nest!
Patty had embellished the envelope with HEAPs of stamps, and sealed the back with holly tape. I can see bits of this package turning up in a collage soon.
She wrapped the enclosed magazine with a strip of marbled paper closed with a parakeet sticker. More fodder for the collage stash.
...and that wasn't all. Inside was a handmade card which will remain a treasured part of my collection.
A big THANK YOU Patty! I have already earmarked the instructions for a 'waterfall' book for a 2012 project.
You can see lots of Patty's wonderful work, and be treated to some great scenery of her part of the world HERE.
what beautiful creations, treasures for sure,
ReplyDeleteDear Jo ~ what a lovely surprise to come for a visit and see this post.
ReplyDeleteIt could not have been more fun to put together this 'flat' package for you. I was thrilled that your name popped out of the hat to win the book.
It is always fun to share with people who appreciate the little things.
I was lucky the lady at the post office was willing to take the extra time to do individual stamps...sometimes they hedge abit and would rather slap on the digital postage sticker alone.
I always enjoy postage stamps from other countries ever since I was a young girl actually!
Very happy the book found such a good home almost 9500 miles around the globe!

Wow - what an amazing book - you lucky girl!! I just adore handmade books, for some strange reason they hit me emotionally. It's odd, but then again, it's been said about me enough times!!
