SUMMER ? OF COLOURS - Week One

Kristin of Twinkle Twinkle is doing another Summer Of Colours Challenge this year.  While I vowed not to do any more 'challenges' for a while, who could resist pretending it is summer here, when we are all damp and cold.

Her colours will all be based on icecream.  For me this is the absolute clincher... I LOVE icecream.

The pinks and oranges of 'sherbet' are the first week's colours:

Venezia - Acrylics on canvas

Oleander in my garden

Central Australia

Yummy, yummy colours.....

Hot Gossip - acrylics on canvas

Many of the participants have posted to Flickr and you can see them HERE.

Enjoy.

  22. You inspired me to join this challenge, too. Like you, I'm trying to stay away from challenges, but so many people I visit are here, how could I not.

What a treat to see your interpretation using these colors for the challenge. You use them SO well!

As I learn more about Australia, I am so impressed with the many climates and eco-systems. I love how you were able to incorporate Central Australia in this challenge. Everything is really lovely and points to you as a great artist.

  23. I'm with you... how can you resist a challenge relate to ice cream?!?

your work is fabulous. i particularly like the bold colors in your venice painting and the way you've perfectly captured the feel of women gossiping in the last one. something in their expressions and the way they are leaning in makes me want to eavesdrop! :-)

    can't wait to see more!
