Blue Squares - acrylics on canvas, 45 x 45 cm |
This unpretentious little painting won me the Abstract First Prize of $800. Yippee... I'm absolutely over the moon. It has been one of my favourite recent pieces.
....and there's more..... I also won the Miniature First Prize ($150) with this one....

Hello hello Jo - I actually came onto your blog to tell you how much I loved your entry in the COMA zodiac series and here I found these two exciting paintings of yours which have won prizes in their categories. I am not surprised as they are both marvellous. I am not familiar with your work but I adore the abstract image so would applaud your decision to keeping painting in that genre. Congratulations. Please excuse the double hello but the blog gremlins won't let me delete one of them!
